Sons of Confederate Veterans
Who are We?

We are a non-profit group of historically connected patriotic Americans who trace our ancestry to men who fought in Confederate Service during the war of 1861-1865.

Our Mission

To preserve and protect the heritage and true history of our Confederate ancestors and to honor their memory.

Our Activities

  • We meet once per month and have historical presentations on various aspects of the War Between the States.
  • We celebrate certain holidays in connection with that war. Two of these include the annual Lee / Jackson dinner in January and Confederate Memorial Day in April.
  • We decorate graves of Confederate Soldiers buried here in Northern Nevada.

Our Members

Our camp consists of men in Nevada and several other states.

Our Newsletter

We publish a bi-monthly newsletter entitled:

"The Hunley Torpedo"

Among the usual features included are:

  • Our Member's Confederate Ancestors

  • Historical Articles

  • Heritage Page, which deals with assaults against our heritage
